Have you heard it already? Hobbit coins are legal tender in New Zealand. A series of great Hobbit coins, bearing the likenesses of characters from the upcoming "Hobbit" series of films, is being launched in New Zealand. The coins really are legal tender, but because they're for collectors, do not work well for that reason. Read more here
